EQUINE FEED

FEED TO SUCCEED

EQUINE NUTRIENTS provides complete and comprehensive feeding solution containing nutrient-rich ingredients of the highest quality which combine synergistically to optimise performance and well-being in the equine athlete.

Individual feed components are processed separately in the manner best designed to enhance digestibility, absorption and feed utilisation based on international research and case studies.

The best and latest technologies available for feed processing worldwide have been adopted, with all our products manufactured from farm-fresh ingredients at our dedicated facility in Bangalore.
We source the finest whole grains, cereals and pulses, avoiding use of by-products of the human food chain, commonly used by feed manufacturers as cost-cutting alternatives.

Additives such as vitamins, minerals, trace minerals, amino acids, live yeast culture and probiotics are of the highest quality available, with certification and traceability to ensure feed quality and safety.

OUR PROCESS

MICRONIZING
Infra-red heat treatment in the near and medium infra-red spectrum results in even cooking from the inside-out with improvement in digestibility and flavour. Further benefits include destruction of harmful microbes and bacteria.

EXTRUSION
Feed ingredients are subjected to HTST (High Temperature Short Time) cooking at high temperature and high pressure for a short period of time. This results in de-activation of anti-nutritional factors which inhibit protein absorption, which helps in preventing essential nutrient loss.

The process of extrusion gelatinizes starch content enabling and
enhancing improved energy uptake from feed. Digestible energy in
unprocessed grain and cereals averages 55-60 percent which rises to around 90 percent post-extrusion.

STEAM FLAKING
Feed components are steam-cooked in pressure vessels and
subsequently flaked, resulting in improved digestibility.

PELLETIZING
Heat sensitive ingredients such as vitamins and amino acids are
compacted into pellets at optimum temperatures to prevent nutrient loss.
